In The Eyes Of A StrangerJust walking down the creased sidewalk  Oblivious of the contaminated world around,  Staring up at the infinitely blue sky;  When I glance down for just a moment,  And the eyes staring back at me  Are ones that were just moments ago also looking up  
At the paradise above.  Ones that reflect that glorious shade of sapphire.  All the air has left my lungs  As if to better concentrate for the moment.  My heart tries to climb out my throat,  And I’m perpetually locked into this gaze.  The funny part is,  I don’t mind at all.  Let me stay here

I received the call yesterday morning from the doctor. They flew him back into the country. My heart gained about 30 pounds and sunk to the bottom of my stomach even before he spoke. “He’s been in a bad fire,” he tiptoed slowly through his words, careful with each one. But before he had the chance to continue I had hung up the phone and darted out the front door to my car, which was sitting patiently in the driveway, unaware of the rush I was in. I hastily and sloppily changed gears as I darted through the lifeless city.   The hospital was full of beeps and buzzes, I calmed myself and strode down the warm ha NEVER AGAIN

One last kick of the can

Okay guys... here it goes.

I'm shutting down my deviantART account. For a number of reasons. I still haven't told my parents about it, and if they find out i'm hooped. I feel like dA is a great place to express yourself, but i'm working out my own desires and I don't see myself being here any longer. God is leading me in another, greater direction, away from lust and towards holiness... and i'm not going to find it here. I'm sorry guys, i'm going to miss you all so much but it's something i have to do. I'll try to come and check on you occasionally, but i can't promise anything

so farewell, i hope fate leads you in the direction that you will find happiness. peace and grace to you all.
